Chap. 39.—An ACT to appropriate the sum of sixty thousand dollars to pay
the per diem, mileage, etc., of members, officers, employees, etc., of the
general assembly of Virginia, now in extraordinary session. (H. B. 54)

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the sum
of sixty thousand dollars, or so much thereof as may be necessary, is here-
by appropriated out of any money in the treasury to pay the per diem,
mileage, etc., of members, officers, clerks, employees, etc., of the general
assembly now in extraordinary session.
2. The want of an appropriation to pay the per diem, mileage, etc., of
the members, officers, clerks, employees, etc., of the general assembly
creates an emergency ; therefore this act shall be in force from its passage.
