Chap. 128.—An ACT to add an independent section to an act entitled an
act to provide for opening and keeping in repair the public roads of
Pulaski county, as amended by an act approved March 14, 1908, so as
to provide for the rehearing of a petition for the sale of bonds for the
purpose of building and improving the roads or bridges of any district
in said county. (H. B. 122)

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That an in-
dependent section be and the same is hereby added to an act entitled an
act to provide for opening and keeping in repair the public roads of
Pulaski county, as amended by an act approved March fourteenth, nine-
teen hundred and eight,-.as follows: |
26. When the circuit court of Pulaski county has issued any order
for an election to be held in any district of said county upon the question
of issuing bonds for the purpose of building and improving the roads
or bridges of such district and directing the amount and manner and
location of the expenditure of the proceeds of the sale of said bonds, and
there is presented to the said court, or the judge thereof in vacation,
a petition signed by twenty-five or more of the qualified voters of said
district, at least five days prior to the election provided in said original
order, whether said order was entered at a term of court that has been
concluded or not, asking for a re-hearing in the matter of the original
petition, the said court, or the judge thereof in vacation, shall forthwith
appoint a day either in term time or in the vacation of the said court,
upon which a re-hearing of the original petition shall be granted and
after hearing such evidence as may be presented the said court or judge
may confirm the order previously entered in said case or may amend,
alter or revoke the said order as to the court or judge may seem proper.
27. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent with this act are hereby
repealed. :
28. Because of an approaching election upon the question of issuing
bonds in one of the districts of the said county, an emergency exists,
and this act shall be in force from its passage.
