Chap. 43.—An ACT to compensate R. Gordon Finney, trial justice for Alex-
andria county, Va., for services rendered as such trial justice under the
act of the general assembly of Virginia approved March 28, 1912.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts be, and he is hereby, authorized and
directed to issue his warrant in favor of R. Gordon Finney for the
sum of one thousand, five hundred and thirtv-eight dollars and
seventy-eight cents, payable out of any moneys in the treasury not
otherwise appropriated, it being a compensation for services ren-
dered by him as trial justice for Alexandria county, Virginia, pur-
suant to the act of the general assembly of Virginia approved March
twenty-third, nineteeri hundred and twelve, at the salary therein
provided from June seventeenth, nineteen hundred and twelve, to
December thirty-first, nmeteen hundred and thirteen, and proper to
be paid from the State treasury, said payment to be miade after this
act is in force so soon as the county of Alexandria shall, through its
treasurer, have paid into the State treasury seven hundred and
sixty-nine dollars and thirty-nine cents (one-half of the fifteen hun-
dred and thirty-eight dollars and seventy-eight cents), the county’s
portion of the salary of said trial justice.
The salary due said trial justice being past due an emergency
exists this act shall be in fcrce from its passage.
