Chap. 316.—An ACT to authorize and direct the auditor of public accounts
to prescribe and furnish forms of accounts for claims against the Com-
monwealth which are allowed from time to time by the several corpora-
tion and circuit courts in this State. (H. B. 391.)
Approved March 27, 1914.
Whereas, a wide diversity of style exists in making up accounts
payable out of the State treasury; frequently resulting in loss of
time and money to the State in returning them for correction and
preventing uniformity of filing in the office of the auditor of public
accounts; and,
Whereas, the statutes make numerous requirements in reference
to some of these accounts, which are difficult to explain to the various
efficers rendering them, and which could be clearly set out on
printed forms; and,
Whereas, these forms could be furnished at a nominal cost to
the State; therefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the auditor of public accounts is hereby authorized and directed
to supply the several court clerks in this State with the necessary
forms to carry out the provisions of this act, which forms shall be
used for accounts payable out of the treasury of the State. The
printing and so forth required by this act to be done and paid for
as other printing, which is required by the auditor of public
accounts, is done and paid for, namely, by the superintendent of
public printing, and the sum of one thousand dollars or so much
thereof as may be necessary is hereby appropriated out of the treas-
ury to pay the expense of the printing, et cetera, required by this
act.
