prescribe collars for dogs on which taxes have been paid. (H. B. 519.)

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of supervisors of Amherst county, in the State of Vir-
ginia, may, whenever they think proper, for the just and fair ap-
plication of any dog law prescribed and supply a form of collar
with a license tag for each year, and require that all dogs on which
the tax has been paid shall wear the said collar and license tag, and
also require that all dog owners keep their dogs on their own
premises or keep them muzzled except when they are with their
owners in hunting or driving stcck, and then the owner to be re-
sponsible for all damage done by their dogs. And the supervisors
may prescribe effective penalties in additien to those already pre-
scribed by general law, for the violation of any such ordinance.
