Chap. 220.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 9 of an act entitled an
act to incorporate the town of Round Hill, in the county of Loudoun.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section nine of an act entitled an act to incorporate the town of
Round Hill, in the county of Loudoun, approved February fifth.
nineteen hundred, be amended and re-enacted so as to read a:
follows:
Sec. 9. To meet the expenditures that may be lawfully charge-
able to the said town, the council may, annually, levy a town lev
of so much (as in its opinion may be necessary) upon all taxable
persons and property, resident cr situate within said town, no
exempted from taxation by the laws of the State; provided, that 1
capitation tax not greater than fifty cents per head on the male
inhabitants of the said town over the age of twenty-one years mat
be levied in any one year; and, provided, further, that the tax <
levied on the real and personal property within the said town de

not exceed fifty cents on the one hundred dollars of the assessed
value therecf for any one year; and, provided also, no tax shall be
® levied upon the stock, utensils, or implements within the limits of

said corporation, which are used strictly for farming purposes; but
this provision is not intended to apply to milch cows, horses, or
