1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section thirty-seven hundred and ninety-eight, chapter one hundred
and eighty-five, of the Code of Virginia, be amended and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:
Sec. 3798. If any person arrived at the age of discretion pro-
fanely curse or swear or get drunk he shall be deemed guilty of 1
misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be fined not less
than one nor more than ten dollars, but nothing herein contained
shall apply to any city or town having police regulations on this
subject.
