Chap. 176.—An ACT to authorize the board of supervisors of Spotsylvania
county to prescribe collars for dogs on which taxes have been paid in
said county, and require them to be muzzled during certain seasons, or
confined, and providing penalties for the violation of the same.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of supervisors of Spotsylvania county, in the State of
Virginia, may, whenever they think proper for the just and fair
application of any dog law, prescribe and supply a form of collar
with a license tag for each year and require that all dogs on which
the tax has been paid shall wear the said collar and license tag,
and also require that all dog owners keep their dogs on their own
premises or keep them muzzled during certain seasons of the year,
and they may prescribe effective penalties in addition to those
already prescribed by general law for the violation of any such
ordinance, or ordinances, rules or regulations.
