Chap. 109.—An ACT to prohibit fishing in the rivers and creeks of Scott
county, with seines more than sixteen feet in length. (H. B. 115.)

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be unlawful for any person to take or catch fish, by means
of a seine of any kind exceeding sixteen feet in length in any of
the waters of Scott county. Any person violating the provisions
of this act shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than two hundred
dollars and not more than five hundred dollars for each offense.
2. An emergency existing on account of the destruction of fish
in the waters of said Scott county, this act shall be in force from
its passage.
