CHAP. 90.—An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of
the counties of Essex and King William to sell and convey unto the
Richmond, Washington and Chesapeake Bay Railway Company a right
of way through the poor house farms in the said counties.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the boards of supervisors in the counties of Essex and King Wil-
liam be, and are hereby, authorized and empowered to grant, sell
and convey, upon such terms and conditions, and for such con-
sideration as they shall respectively deem proper, a right of way
to the Richmond, Washington and Chesapeake Bay Railway Com-
pany through the poor house farms located in the said counties.
2. An emergency existing by reason of the desire for the im-
mediate construction of said railroad, this act shall be in force
from its passage.
