Chap. 81.—An ACT to authorize the county of Louisa, Virginia, to borrow
temporarily not exceeding fifteen thousand dollars.
Approved March 4, 1912.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the county of Louisa, Virginia, be, and it is hereby, authorized
by resolution or resolutions of its board of supervisors, to bor-
row from time to time during the current year, as it may be
needed, to pay outstanding county warrants of said county, or
such as may be issued during the current year, any sum or
sums of money not exceeding the aggregate of fifteen thousand
dollars, to be paid off in installments of not less than three thous-
and dollars per year, out of the receipts from the county levy
of said county for the years nineteen hundred and thirteen, nine-
teen hundred and fourteen, nineteen hundred and fifteen, nine-
teen hundred and sixteen and nineteen hundred and seventeen,
together with interest thereon at a rate not exceeding six per
centum per annum; and the board of supervisors of said county
is hereby authorized to issue county warrants of said county
signed by its chairman for such sum, or sums, as may be so
borrowed, with interest and payable as and within the time afore-
said, to any bank or individual, or individuals, or their order,
who may lend such money or any part thereof.
2. An emergency existing by reason of the fact that said
county has incurred extraordinary expenses for bridges, etc.,
which its county levy for the current year will not discharge,
this act shall be in force from its passage.
