CHAP. 67.—An ACT to prohibit the use of the name, photograph or likeness
of any deceased officer of the Confederate army or navy as the name,
brand, trademark or trade name for any intoxicating liquor or bever-
age, and providing penalty for violation.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to use
as a trade-mark, trade-name, advertisement, label, brand or other
mark of identification or name of or upon any intoxicating liquor
or beverage, or advertisement thereof, the name, photograph,
halftone, likeness or fac-simile of any deceased officer of the
Confederate army or navy of any part or division thereof.
2. Any person, firm or corporation violating this act, shall
be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof
shall be fined not less than fifty, nor more than five hundred
dollars for each offense; and each day the terms of this act shall
be violated shall be termed a separate offence.
