CHAP. 340.—An ACT to provide for working roads in Stafford county.
Approved March 14, 1912.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section five of an act entitled “an act to work and keep in repair
roads and bridges in the county of Stafford,’ approved April
second, nineteen hundred and two, as amended by an act ap-
proved March thirteenth, nineteen hundred and eight, be
amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§5. All levies made under this act shall be extended by the
commissioners of the revenue upon their books, separate and
apart from other levies; and when used for temporary road im-
provement, shall be expended only in the district in which they
are assessed; however, when used for permanent road improve-
ment, the said levies may be expended by the board of super-
visors anywhere in the county; and the board of supervisors of
said county is hereby authorized to levy a special county road tax
not exceeding twenty cents on the hundred dollars of taxable
values in the said county, to be used only in permanent improve-
ment of the roads of said county.
