CHAP. 319.—An ACT to prevent obstructing the waters of Pigg river.

_ 1. Re it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
it shall be unlawful to construct, keep or maintain an artificial
dam of any sort across the waters of Pigg river, in the cointv
of Pittsylvania, for more than two-thirds of its width at low
water-mark.
Any person violating this law shall be fined not less than
five nor more than fifty dollars, and every day’s violation of it
shall be considered a distinct and separate offense.
