CHAP. 270.—An ACT to permit the establishment of a private bridge over
the waters of Skiff’s creek, between the counties of Warwick and
James City, Virginia.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
Simon R. Curtis and R. G. Bickford be, and they are hereby, per-
mitted to establish a private bridge over Skiff’s creek (the same
being the boundary between the county of Warwick and the
county of James City, Virginia), between the properties of the
said Simon R. Curtis and the said R. G. Bickford; provided, how-
ever, that upon the demand of any corporation or individual own-
ing land on the borders of the said Skiff’s creek, to the northward
of any such bridge so constructed, the same shall be discontinued
or shall be so operated as to preserve all existing rights of any
such landholder so located.
