CHAP. 260.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act ceding
to the United States exclusive jurisdiction over certain lands acquir-
ed for public purposes within this State, and authorizing the acqui-
sition thereof, approved April 2nd, 1902.

1. Re it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
an act entitled an act ceding to the United States exclusive juris-
diction over certain lands acquired for public purposes within
this State, and authorizing the acquisition thereof, approved
April second, nineteen hundred and two, be, and the same is
hereby, amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the consent of the State of Virginia is hereby given in accordance
with the seventeenth clause, eighth section of the first article of
the Constitution of the United States, to the acquisition by the
United States by purchase of any land in this State for the pur-
pose of forest conservation and preservation of natural resources.
