CHAP. 23.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 1014a of the Code of
Virginia, entitled extension of the corporate limits of cities and towns,
approved March 10, 1904, by adding a separate paragraph, numbered
three and a half (314), to said section of 1014a, authorizing the dis-
trict school board of any district of any county is annexed to any
city and compensation to any county for any school-house or school-
houses in said district has been allowed in the order of annexation,
be authorized to use the compensation so allowed for acquiring lands
for public school buildings and the erection and equipment of other
school buildings in said district.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
section ten hundred and fourteen-a of the Code of Virginia, en-
titled extension of the corporate limits of cities and towns, ap-
proved March the tenth, nineteen hundred and four, by adding
a separate paragraph, numbered three and a half (314), to said
section of ten hundred and fourteen-a, be amended and re-enacted
so as to read as follows:
314. The district school board of any county, wherein any
part of any district of said county is annexed to any city, and
compensation to any county for any school house or _ school
houses in said district has been allowed in the order of annexa-
tion, be authorized to use the compensation so allowed for ac-
quiring lands for public school buildings and the erection and
equipment of other school buildings in said district.
