CHAP. 226.—An ACT to empower the State library board to exchange or
sell duplicates in the Virginia State library.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the library board of the Virginia State library, be empowered to
exchange or to sell any unnecessary duplicate copies of books or
pamphlets which are at present in the Virginia State library, or
which may hereafter be collected there; provided that the result
of such a change or sale be of advantage to the institution.
Be it further enacted that in the case of any sale, the money
received be deposited in the State treasury to the credit of the
library fund. .
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
