CHAP. 138.—An ACT to make valid and effective the recordation of deeds
of corporations conveying property real or personal, heretofore or
hereafter executed, and heretofore or hereafter recorded, in pursuance
of resolutions of the boards of directors of such corporations authoriz-
ing such execution by their presidents and secretaries, when executed
by such officers signing the corporate names and affixing and attesting
the corporate seals respectively or jointly, and when such deeds have
been or may be recorded upon the certificates of acknowledgment of
the presidents only.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the recordation of all deeds of corporations conveying property
real or personal. heretofore or hereafter executed. and hereto-
fore or hereafter recorded, in pursuance of resolutions of the
boards of directors of such corporations authorizing such exe-
cution by their presidents and secretaries, when executed by
such officers signing the corporate names and affixing and at-
testing the corporate seals respectively or jointly, and when
such deeds have been or may be recorded upon the certificates
of acknowledgment of the presidents only, shall be held valid
and effective in all respects, if otherwise valid according to the
law then in force.
2. There being a number of such deeds so made and recorded,
an emergency is declared to exist, and this act shall be in force
from its passage.
