CHaP. 133.—An ACT to amend the charter of the city of Alexandria, Vir-
ginia, affecting the control of its fire and health departments.

Approved March 11, 1912.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
the board of fire wardens of the city of Alexandria, Virginia,
and the board of health of the city of Alexandria, Virginia, be,
and the same are hereby, abolished, and in their places and
stead each of said departments shall be governed and controlled
and their duties performed by committees of council, to be ap-
pointed for that purpose, as other committees in similar manner
are now appointed.

2. And be it further enacted, That all ordinances or parts of
ordinances, and all parts and provisions of the charter of the
city of Alexandria, Virginia, in conflict herewith, are hereby
repealed, and said charter is amended as above provided.
