Chap. 133.—An ACT to amend and reenact section 4020 of the Code of Vir-
ginia, in regard to juries for the trial of felonies.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
forty hundred and twenty of the Code of Virginia be, and the same is
hereby amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
84020. Any court in which a person accused of felony is to be tried,
or the judge of such court in vacation, may at any time cause a venire
facias to issue for his trial. And in any case under this chapter when a
venire facias is issued for the trial of a person charged with crime,
whether issued by the clerk under sections forty hundred and sixteen and
forty hundred and eighteen, or under this section, such venire facias
shall as soon as issued become a public record and open to the inspection
of any person; and the return showing the execution of such writ shall,
as soon as made, likewise become a public record open to inspection by
any person.
