Chap. 322.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3922 of the Code of Virginia,
as heretofore amended.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
iirty-nine hundred and twenty-two of the Code of Virginia, as here-
xfore amended, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
$3922. The circuit court of any county may, if it deem it advis-
ble, appoint a special police force to consist of one or more suitable
nd discreet persons, who shall serve as such until others are appointed in
heir place by the court. Such person or persons so appointed by the
ourt shall be conservators of the peace in their respective counties.
uch court may, if it see proper, allow compensation to said police and
ny éxpense incurred in the execution of their duties to be paid out of
he county levy.
