1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it sh
¢ lawful to take, kill or capture fish in the waters of Nottoway ris
ts tributaries in Southampton, Sussex, and Greenesville countie
lso in Dinwiddie and Brunswick counties far up as Slagle’s mil
xcept private ponds, by means of seines, fykes, traps, fish slides
ny other manner except by angling with a hook and line.
2. This act shall not apply to the capture of minnows by me
| minnow net, when minnows are to be used as a bait, nor to the |
f shad seines, or the use of shad dip nets, in the waters of the Nc
‘iver and its tributaries in the counties of Southampton, Susse
sreenesville during the months of February, March, April, and Mi
nthe waters of the said Nottoway river and its tributaries in th
ies of Dinwiddie and Brunswick as far us asSlagle’s mill dam dur

3. Any person violating the provisions of this act shall he |
zuilty of a misdemeanor.
4. This act shall be in force ninety davs after the adjournment
