Chap. 215.—An ACT to authorize the school board of the town of Franklin
district, in Southampton county, Virginia, to borrow money and to execute
bonds, secured by a deed of trust for said honds.
Approved March 14, 1906.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the school
oard of the town of Franklin district, Southampton county, Virginia.
e, and the same is hereby, authorized anil empowered to borrow a sum of
1oney not exceeding ten thousand dollars ($10,000.00), to be used in the
onstruction and equipment of a public school building in the said town.
2. And the school board may execute its bonds for said loan, and sec-
ure the payment of the same by a deed of trust on said building and
quipment, and the public school lot upon which the same may be located
n the said town, the said bonds and deed of trust to be executed in the
ame of said board by its chairman, and attested by its clerk: and pro-
ided, further, that such bonds shall not be sold below par.
3. On account of the necessity for the immediate use of a large school
uilding. this act is declared an emergency act, and shall be in force from
