Chap. 18.—An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of
Surry county, Virginia, to contribute to the erection of a monument to the
Confederate dead of Surry county.

Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board of
upervisors of Surry county, Virginia, be, and it is hereby, authorized
nd empowered, if it be in the opinion of the said board of supervisors
roper and judicious so to do, to contribute out of the county funds a
um not exceeding five hundred dollars to aid in the erection of a monu-
ient to the Confederate dead of said county.
