Chap. 103.—An ACT to protect landlords against removal of crop by tenants
until rents and advances are paid, and to prescribe punishment therefor.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall be
unlawful for any person renting the lands of another, either for a share
of the crop or for money consideration, to remove therefrom, without the
consent of the landlord, any part of such crop until the rents and ad-
vances are satisfied.
2. Every such offense shall be deemed a misdemeanor, and shall be
punishable by fine or imprisonment.
