Chap. 208.—An ACT to validate certain records and proceedings of the circuit
court of Chesterfield county.
Approved March 15, 1904.
Whereas, the late B. A. Hancock, judge of the circuit court of Chester-
field county, departed this life during his term of office without having
signed certain proceedings of said court, duly entered of record by the
clerk thereof—to-wit, the proceedings of said court on Monday, May
twenty-fifth, mineteen hundred and three; Wednesday, May twenty-
seventh, nineteen hundred and three; Monday, November sixteenth, nine-
teen hundred and three, and Friday, November twentieth, nineteen
hundred and three ; therefore, —
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the said
proceedings of the circuit court of Chesterfield county on said named
days—to-wit, Monday, May twenty-fifth, nineteen hundred and three;
Wednesday, May twenty-seventh, nineteen hundred and three; Monday,

November sixteenth, nineteen hundred and three, and Friday, November
twentieth, nineteen hundred and three, be, and the same are hereby,
declared to be of the same force and effect as if the same had been dulyread
and signed by said judge during the term of the court, as required by
law. And the clerk who entered said proceedings of record is hereby
directed to sign his name to said records in attestation thereof, and to
note on the margin suitable reference to this act.
2. Whereas, an emergency exists as set forth in the preamble of this
act, the same shall be in force from its passage.
