Chap. 204.—An ACT to validate and legalize the issue of certain bonds of Bris-
tol, Virginia, of date June 1, 1903, and known as refunding and water works

bonds.
Approved March 15, 1904.

Whereas, the charter of Bristol, Virginia, section sixty-one, provides
that no debt shall be created by the council of said city for a period
longer than six months without the ordinance creating said debt shall
have been introduced at some meeting of the council at least thirty days
before said ordinance is passed ; and,

Whereas, further, certain bonds bearing date June first, nineteen
hundred and three, and known as refunding bonds and water works
bonds, aggregating twenty thousand dollars, were issued before the lapse
of thirty days from the introduction of the ordinance providing there-
for; and,

Whereas, no injury has resulted to said city by reason of said irregu-
larity:

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That so far as
said irregularity is concerned, said bonds are hereby legalized.
