Chap. 174.—An ACT to allow the street mileage in the town of Chase City, county
of Mecklenburg, Virginia, to be included in mileage of county public roads, and
to receive ite proratable share of county road levy.

Whereas, section seven of an act anproved March sixth, nineteen
hundred, for working the public roads of Mecklenburg county, is in
conflict with section fourteen of the charter of the town of Chase City,
inasmuch as it subjects the property therein to county road tax, with-
out receiving any benefit therefrom: therefore, |

1. Be it enacted bv the general assembly of Virginia, That the town
of Chase City shall be entitled to receive its proratable share of all
revenue derived from county road levv as the length of all its streets
shall bear to the public road mileage of said county of Mecklenburg.

2. This act shall be in force from ninety days after the adjournment
of the general assembly.
