Chap. 156.—An ACT to protect pheasants or grouse in the counties of Accomac
and Northampton.
Approved March 14, 1904.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall be
unlawful in the counties of Accomac and Northampton to kill, catch, or
capture, in any manner, in the said counties, pheasants, or grouse of
any kind for a period of five years from the passage of this act, or to
destroy their nests or eggs.
2. Any person violating the provisions of this act shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor and punished by a fine of not less than five nor
more than twenty-five dollars for each offence, or imprisoned in jail not
exceeding sixty days, by the justice or court trying the case.
