CHAP. 138.—An ACT to allow the council of the town of Onancock to levy an addi-
tional capitation tax for the aid of the public schools of said town, or for such
town purposes as the said town council shall determine.

1. Be it enacted by the genera] assemblv of Virginia, That the council
of the town of Onancock be, and are hereby, authorized to levy an addi-
tional capitation tax not exceeding one dollar per annum on each male
resident of said town not less than twenty-one years of age, except those
pensioned by the State of Virginia for military services, for the aid of
the public schools of said town, or for such town purposes as the said
town council shall determine.

2. All acts or parts of acts in conflict with this act are hereby repealed.
