Chap. 132.—An ACT to provide for an election in Albemarle county for the pur-
pose of taking the sense of the qualified voters upon the question of authorizing
the supervisors of said county to make an appropriation of $5,000 to a State
female normal school, to be established in said county, or in the city of Char-
lottesville.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the circuit
court of Albemarle county, at its September term, nineteen hundred and
four, may, upon a resolution adopted by a majority of the board of super-
visors of said! county, order an election in said county, to be held on the
day when the general election shall be held in November, nineteen hun-
dred and four, for the purpose of taking the sense of the qualified voters
of said county upon the proposition to make an appropriation of five
thousand dollars to a State female normal school, to be established in
said county, or in the city of Charlottesville.
2. The form of ballots to be used in said election and the manner of
certifying the result of such election shall be prescribed by said court in
its order providing for the election.
If a majority of all the votes cast by the voters voting in said county in
such genera] election shall be in favor of such appropriation, then the
appropriation of said sum of five thousand dollars shall be made by the
said board to said school so to be established.
