Chap. 591.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 3111 of the Code of Virginia.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
thirty-one hundred and eleven of the Code of Virginia be amended and
re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 3111. Courts of record may adjourn from day to day or take a recess
for a period not exceeding thirty days.—Any court of record may at any
term, whether regular or special, adjourn from time to time for a perio
not exceeding thirty days until the business before it is dispatched, 0:
until the end of its term; the judge of said court shall, during the perioc
of such adjournment, have power and authority to hold regular or spe
cial terms at any other place as if there had been a final adjournment o
such term.
2. This act shall be in force on and after February first, nineteer
hundred and four.
