Chap. 574.—An ACT to authorize the exchange of lots between the Benevolent
and Protective Order of Elks and the county of Albemarle.
Approved December 31, 1903.
Whereas, it appears that the board of supervisors for Albemarle county
desire to exchange a portion of the lot on High street, in the city of
Charlottesville, belonging to the county of Albemarle, for a portion of
the lot belonging to the trustees of the Charlottesville Lodge, number
Se hundred and eighty-nine, Benevolent and Protective Order of
1. Be it, therefore, enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That
said exchange is authorized to be made, and that so soon as the terms of
exchange are agreed upon between the said board of supervisors and
said trustees, then the said board is authorized to appoint some one in
its behalf and in behalf of said county to execute the deed of exchange,
and the said trustees for said lodge are authorized, in behalf of said lodge,
to unite in said deed of exchange, so soon as said lodge shall have, by
resolution, at any regular or special meeting, ratified said exchange ; and
that a deed of exchange so executed shall pass the legal title to the re-
spective pieces of real estate thereby conveyed.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
