Chap. 521.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 2562 of the Code of Virginia,
as amended by an act approved February 23, 1898, in relation to jurisdiction
of partition of lands.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
renty-five hundred and sixty-two of the Code of Virginia, as amended
y an act approved February twenty-third, eighteen hundred and ninety-
ght, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as follows:
§ 2562. Jurisdiction of partition of Jand.—Tenants in common, joint
mants, and co-parceners shall be compellable to make partition; and a
en creditor or any owner of undivided estate in real estate may also
ympel partition for the purpose of subjecting the estate of his debtor or
ve rente and profits thereof to the satisfaction of his lien. Any court
having general equity jurisdiction of the county or corporation wherein
the estate, or any part thereof, is, shall have jurisdiction in cases of par-
tition, and! in the exercise of such jurisdiction may take cognizance of all
questions of law affecting the legal title thal may arise in any proceed-
ings, as well between tenants in common, joint tenants, and co-parcener:
as others.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
