for the relief of J. T. Mills, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as
follows:
$1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board
of Ticbortes be authorized and empowered to inquire into the facts con-
cerning said erroneous assessment against said J. T. Mills, and if they
shall find it, in their discretion, to be a proper case for relief, to author-
ize and direct the oyster inspector of the district wherein said bottom
lies, or the inspector of any district wherein said J. T. Mills holds oyster
bottom, to allow- the said J. T. Mills on his future dues for rent, credit
and abatement for such sum as he has erroneously paid to the State, if
any.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
