Chap. 46.—An ACT authorizing Fairfiel€ school district to issue bonds for the
purchase of property to be used for school purposes,

Approved January 26, 1903,

Whereas, it has become necessary for the Fairfield school district,
the county of Tlenrico, to purchase from the Tfoward’s Grove Batis “
¢hurch, mm said county, a certain lot and the buildings thereon, and to
use said property for school purposes 2 aud,

Whereas, the said school district has purchased the said property: and,

Whereas. some doubt has arisen as to whether the present heard of
trustees have a right to issue bonds or notes for such purpose bevond one
vear from the time such bends are issued: and,
© Whereas, it is to the advantage and benefit of such school district to
issue a bond for a fonger pertod: therefore,
Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That Fairfield
<chwol district. of Tlenrico county, be. and the same is hereby, authorized
to Issue a bond or note for not exceeding one thousand dollars, negotiable
and pavalile out of the school funds of said district three vears after date,
to provide funds to purchase the before-mentioned real estate for the pur-
pore of using the same for a graded school,

This act shall be in force from its passage.
