Chap. 309.—An ACT to amend and re-enact section 1 of an act approved April 2,
1902, entitled an act for the relief of J. T. Mills.
Approved May 20, 1903.
1. Be it enacted by the gencral assembly of Virginia, That section one
of an act approved April second, nineteen hundred and tw o, entitled an act
for the relief of J.T. Mills, be amended and re-enacted so as to read as
hess :
Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board
of ‘ herivs be authorized and empowered to inquire into the facts con-
cerning said erroneous assessment against said J. T. Mills, and if they
stall find it, in their discretion, to be a proper case for rehef, to author-
ize and direct the ovster inspector of the district wherein said bottom
lies, or the mspector of any district wherein said J. T. Mills holds oyster
bottom, to allow the said J. T. Mills on his future dues for rent, credit
au:l abatement for such sum as he has erroneously paid to the State, if
anv.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
