CHAP. 129.—An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of Bote-
tourt county to appropriate and contribute money for the purpose of aiding in
the erection of a monument to the Confederate soldiers of said county.
Approved April 4, 1903.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board
of supervisors of Botetourt county be, and it is hereby, authorized and
empowered to appropriate and contribute out of the county funds of said
county a sum of money not exceeding five hundred dollars, for the purpose
of aiding in the construction of a monument to the Confederate soldiers
of said county, to be erected on the public square of said county or at the
county seat thereof. Such appropriation may be made as a whole, or may
be made and paid out by instalments, as the said board may determine.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
