Chap. 97.~—An ACT to authorize the board of suvervisors of Page county to
issue bonds for the purpose of retiring outstanding bonds.
Approved February 12, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board
of supervisors of Page county be, and they are, hereby authorized and
empowered, and it shall be lawful for said board to issue the bonds of
said county, not to exceed the amount of the bonds issued and now re-
maining unpaid, under an act of the said general assembly, approved
January eleventh, eighteen hundred and ninety, with which to retire
the whole or any part of its said outstanding bonds; said bonds to be
issued in denominations of one hundred, five hundred and one thousand
dollars, to bear interest at not a greater rate than four per centum per
annum, for which interest coupons may be issued, payable annually ; said
bonds to run for twenty vears from the date of their issue, redeemable
at the pleasure of the said county after ten years from the date of their
issue, and said bonds and coupons to be signed by the chairman and
attested by the clerk of the said board of supervisors under the seal of
said board.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
