Chap. 83.—An ACT to allow George H. Jenkins to build a pier in the Rap-
pahannock river, at the mouth of Deep creek, Lancaster county.
Approved February 12, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That George H.
Jenkins be, and is, hereby authorized to erect a pier in the Rappahannock
river, at the mouth of Deep creek, Lancaster county, forty feet long by
fifty wide, on his oyster-planting grounds, for the protection of his
planted oysters: provided, the same will not interfere with navigation in
said river, and be subject to all the laws of Virginia, governing wharves
and piers in the waters of the commonwealth: and provided, further, that
this privilege granted shall at all times be under the control of the gen-
eral assembly, and amended or repealed as may be deemed proper.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
