Chap. 82.—An ACT to extend the time one year to collect by distress the
taxes of 1898, assessed against the taxable persons and property of the
corporation of Lebanon, in Russell county.

Whereas there are certain uncollected tax-tickets for taxes and levies
1 the corporation of Lebanon, in Russell county, Virginia, due to the
iid corporation for the year eighteen hundred ‘and ninety-eight, none
f which have been returned delinquent, and the time having expired i in
hich the sergeant of said corporation can levy and distrain for s same ;
irefore,
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That authority
hereby given to the corporation of the town of Lebanon. and to the
revant of the said corporation, in Russell county, Virginia, to collect
amount due on said tickets for the year eighteen hundred and nincty-
icht, and to that end the said corporation of Lebanon, Virginia, and
he sergeant of said corporation, shall have the power of levy and distress
ven treasurers by existing laws: provided, that such power shall not
ontinne longer than one year from the passage of this act.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
