Chap. 73.—An ACT to amend section 882 of the code in relation to pay of
Overseers of the poor.

Approved February 12, 1901.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section
ight hundred and eighty-two of the code be amended and re-enacted
0 as to read as follows:

§ 882. The pay and allowances to overseers shall be two dollars per
lay while actually engaged, not to exceed twenty dollars for each overseer
for one year, to be paid out of the county levy: provided, that in the
‘ounty of Montgomery the compensation for the overseer of Christians-
4urg district shall not exceed fifty dollars for one year; and, provided
‘urther, that in the county of Gloucester the compensation for each
overseer shall not exceed, for one year, the sum of five dollars.
