Chap. 47.—An ACT to amend section 4 of an act entitled “an act to incor-
porate the Leesburg and Point of Rocks turnpike company in the county
of Loudoun and to authorize the road board of Leesburg district to appro-
priate road taxes to said turnpike company,” approved February 17, 1898,
so as to authorize said company to appropriate, use and occupy the public
roadbed between Leesburg and Point of Rocks as the roadbed of said com-
pany’s turnpike road.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That section four
of an act entitled an act to incorporate the Leesburg and Point of Rocks
turnpike company, in the county of Loudoun, and to authorize the road
board of Leesburg district to appropriate road taxes to said turnpike com-
pany, approved February seventeenth, eighteen hundred and_ninety-
eight, be amended and re-enacted to read as follows:
§ 4. That said company are hereby authorized to build and completa
the said turnpike road, from Leesburg to Limestone branch on said road.
before they proceed further in any expenditures for said turnpike, and
when so completed from Leesburg to Limestone branch, may erect one
toll-gate at the Leesburg end of said road and charge such tolls as are
prescribed by the laws of Virginia fora full section of five miles, and said
company are hereby authorized and empowered to take and appropriate.
