Chap. 344.—An ACT to amend and re-enact an act entitled an act to protect
game in the county of Dinwiddie.
Approved February 16, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall be
unlawful to kill, capture, hunt, buy, or offer for sale in the county of
Dinwiddie any partridges or wild turkeys between the first day of Feb-
ruary and the first day of October in each year or at any time to take
or catch the same in traps or nets or to take or destroy the eggs of same
in said county.
2. The possession of the above-mentioned game shall be deemed prima
facie evidence of the violation of this act.
3. Any person violating the provisions of this act shall be held guilty
of a misdemeanor, and shall be fined not less than five nor more than
twenty dollars, or be punished by confinement in the county jail not
exceeding thirty days for each offense.
4. This act shall be in force from its passage.
