Chap. 316.—An ACT empowering the board of supervisors of Henrico county
to make rules and regulations governing live stock in that portion of said
county lying within three-fourths of a mile from the corporate limits of
the city of Richmond, including the power of totally prohibiting the keep-
ing of hogs in said district, or any part thereof, and provide penalties for
the failure to observe same.

1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the board
f supervisors of Henrico county shall have the power to make rules
or the keeping of live-stock within three-fourths of a mile from the
orporate limits of the city of Richmond, and may totally prohibit the
eeping of hogs within said district. or any part thereof, if they deem
hat the health of said section requires it. Any person who continues to
eep hogs after said prohibition has been made by the said board, or
ny party disobeying the rules or regulations of said board for live stock
enerally shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and on conviction thercof
hall be punished by fine of not less than five nor more than twenty
ollars for each offense.
2. All acts or parts of acts inconsistent herewith are hereby repealed.
3. This act shall be in force from its passage.
