Chap. 285.—An ACT to prevent hogs from running at large upon the public
roads in Wythe county.
Approved February 16, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That it shall be
inlawful for any hog or hogs to run at large upon the public roads in
3lack Lick and Speedwell magisterial districts, in the county of Wythe.
2. Any owner or keeper of hogs intentionally violating the first section
yf this act shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon®*convic-
ion thereof before a justice of the peace, shall be fined not less than one
lollar, nor more than five dollars for each offense; and in addition, be
iable for all damages done by such hogs going upon the cleared lands of
ny person or persons.
3. This act shall not apply to public roads enclosed by gates.
