Chap. 280.—An ACT to authorize and empower the board of supervisors of
the county of Isle of Wight, in their discretion, to contribute, out of their
county levy of said county, a sum not exceeding five hundred dollars, to
be used and employed in building an armory in said county.
Approved February 16, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of the state of Virginia, That
the board of supervisors of the county of Isle of Wight be, and they are,
hereby authorized and empowered, in their discretion, and upon such
terms as they may prescribe, to contribute and pay out of the county
levy made in any year in said county for county purposes, a sum not to
execed five hundred dollars, to be used and employed to aid in the erec-
tion of an armory in said county, for the uses and purposes of company
H, seventy-first regiment, Virginia volunteers, infantry, or any company
which may succeed the said company. To be held by the said company
or its successor, under the laws of this state, and the regulations now
existing, or hereafter to be established for the government and discipline
of the Virginia militia.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
