Chap. 277.—An ACT to empower the council of the town of Rocky Mount to
contribute from the revenues of the town to the support and maintenance
of a graded school in Rocky Mount school district.
Approved February 16, 1901.
1. Be it enacted by the general assembly of Virginia, That the council
of the town of Rocky Mount shall have authority to appropriate from
year to year from the revenues of the said town an amount not exceeding
three hundred dollars in any one year for the support and maintenance
of a graded school in the Rocky Mount school district. The said council
are empowered to increase the town levy, if necessary, to a sufficient
extent to raise the above amount.
2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
