Chap. 206.—An ACT authorizing the board of supervisors of Henrico county
to pay additional compensation to L. L. Fussell, temporary superintendent
of poor of said county.

Approved February 15, 1901.

Whereas LL. L. Fussell was appointed by the county court of Henrico
county to serve temporarily as superintendent of the poor for said county ;
and :

Whereas owing to the failure of the said board of supervisors to elect
immediately, it was necessary for him to serve over six months as tem-
porary officer; and

Whereas by statute the board are limited to the payment of the annual
sum of three hundred and twenty dollars, with certain perquisites, such
as farm products, and so forth, which said Fussell could not receive the
benefit of, owing to temporary encumbency; therefore,

1. Be it enacted by the general assemblv of Virginia, That the board
of supervisors of Henrico county be allowed and empowered to pay L. L.
Fussell the additional sum of one hundred and fifty dollars for services
as temporary superintendent of the poor for said county.

2. This act shall be in force from its passage.
